>This is the image that Americans who spent their teenage years in Korea
>have in common about Korea. Even when they go back to the US, they miss Korea as
>if Korea is their second home, and they are having a reunion from the 8th to
>the 10th in Washington D.C. this year.
>There are about 200 people from the Seoul American High school attending the
>reunion, and it’s their second meeting in Washington D.C. Their age ranges from
>40’s to 50’s in addition to the young graduates from 2003. On the 8th, the
>graduates from the Seoul American high school will meet at the Crystal City Hyatt
>Regency Hotel, and will enjoy their time together at the Crystal Sports Club on

>pictures to keep as memoirs.
>Mrs. Kathy Lin followed her father to Korea and graduated from the Seoul American
>High school in 1979, and attended the Lee Hwa University for a year in Korea because
>she wanted to be near her family. Mrs. Lin attended Lee Hwa University and University
>of Maryland. Even though it was due to her father’s job that she lived in Korea,
>Mrs. Lin also became curious about the Korean language and history. Mrs. Lin lived
>in the dorms at the Lee Hwa University and attended Maryland University at night
>time. According to Mrs. Lin, “Even though I attended Lee Hwa University for a year,
>that year presented a lot of precious memories”To Mrs. Lin, her memories in
>Korea are very precious and she traveled across the country with her friends, which
>helped her to get a lot of life experiences. Even though Mrs. Lin enjoyed seeing
>a lot of amusing things in Korea, not everything were so bright. For example,
>following the assassination of President Park Jung Hee, she’s seen soldiers attack
>civilians on the streets. She saw a soldier who hit a woman (who runs
>a store) with a rod, and she fell down with bloody wounds right in front of her. However,
>Mrs. Lin still misses Korea a lot, and she “is looking forward to listening
>to the changes occuring in Korea from friends who recently visited Korea at
>this reunion”
